By registering for the NUH International Ophthalmology Scientific Congress 2026, you agree to the following terms.
- Registration, Fees and Payment
- The Congress will be held from 22–25 October 2026 in Singapore (NUHS Tower Block and Advanced Surgery Training Centre, NUH).
- Registration is confirmed only upon full payment and receipt of a confirmation email.
- All registration fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
- Accepted payment methods: Credit Card/Debit Card via Paypal.
- The organiser reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel any registration at its discretion (e.g. non-payment, eligibility, capacity constraints). Where applicable, refunds will be processed in accordance with Clause 3.
- Ticket Delivery and Admission
- Registrants must provide a valid and regularly monitored email address during registration.
- Upon successful registration and payment, an automated confirmation email containing your registration summary and invoice will be sent. If not received, please check junk/spam folders or contact the Secretariat.
- A reminder email containing a unique QR code will be sent approximately 7 days prior to the Congress.
- Each QR code admits one (1) person only and must not be shared, transferred, or duplicated.
- The organiser reserves the right to refuse or revoke admission for reasonable cause, including but not limited to non-payment, breach of these Terms, or disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour.
- Cancellations, Refunds and Substitutions

- Approved refunds will be subject to an 8% deduction to cover platform and administrative charges.
- No refunds will be provided for:
- cancellations made on or after 21 September 2026; or
- non-attendance (no-shows), for any reason.
- Requests to substitute one registered participant for another must be emailed to [secretariat email] by 20 September 2026. Substitutions after this date are not guaranteed and remain at the organiser’s discretion.
- Registration fees cover Congress participation only and exclude travel, accommodation, visa fees, insurance, or personal expenses.
- Programme Changes, Session Admission and Cancellation
While every effort will be made to deliver the programme as advertised, the organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programme content, speakers, session timings, venue allocations, and/or event format (including conversion to hybrid or fully online formats), where necessary.
Certain workshops, masterclasses, paid courses, and scientific sessions may run concurrently. Participants are responsible for reviewing the programme schedule carefully prior to registration. Registration for overlapping sessions shall not entitle participants to refunds, exchanges, or transfers arising from scheduling conflicts.
Selection of scientific sessions during registration is collected primarily for planning and operational purposes and does not guarantee admission, reserved seating, or priority access. Admission to scientific sessions remains subject to venue capacity and applicable safety requirements, and will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis on the event day.
The organiser reserves the right to:
- Limit admissions to any session;
- Close sessions once venue capacity has been reached;
- Redirect participants to alternative available sessions;
- Amend venue allocations; and/or
- Adjust session arrangements where necessary due to operational, safety, or programme requirements.
If the Congress is cancelled in its entirety by the organiser, registered participants will receive a refund of the registration fees paid, less any irrecoverable transaction or platform charges.
The organiser shall not be liable for any other costs incurred by participants, including travel, accommodation, visa, insurance, or other personal expenses.
- Food and Beverage
- All standard meals provided during the Congress are Halal-certified.
- While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate dietary requirements indicated during registration, the organiser cannot guarantee accommodation of all special dietary needs.
- Personal Data and Privacy (PDPA)
- The Congress is organised by National University Hospital (“NUH”).
- By registering for the Conference, you consent to NUH collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data, which may include but is not limited to your name, contact details, organisation, role, dietary requirements, and abstract-related information, for the purposes of:
- processing your registration and managing your participation in the Conference;
- communicating Conference-related information, updates, and post-event follow-up;
- producing badges, delegate lists, certificates, and other Conference materials; and
- administering abstracts, presentations, and networking activities.
- For these purposes, your personal data may be shared with:
- relevant units within NUH;
- third-party event management platforms and service providers, which may be based outside Singapore;
- logistics and operational vendors, e.g. audiovisual service providers, badge printers, caterers; and
- where appropriate, sponsors and other participants through delegate lists or networking tools.
- Your personal data will not be sold and will not be used for unrelated purposes without your fresh consent, unless required or permitted by applicable law.
- You may request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for specific uses of your personal data, noting that this may affect your ability to participate in the Conference, by contacting the Secretariat at This email address is being protected from spambots. - Photography, Recording and Promotion
- The Congress may be photographed, video-recorded and audio-recorded, and/or live-streamed.
- By attending NUH IOSC 2026, in person or online, you consent to your image, likeness and voice being captured and used in Congress reports, websites, social media, and other materials produced by NUH for documentation and promotional purposes, without further notice or payment, as permitted by law.
- Participants who prefer not to be prominently featured should inform the Secretariat during registration or at the on-site helpdesk. While reasonable efforts will be made, complete exclusion from recordings in public areas cannot be guaranteed.
- Direct Marketing
- With your separate and explicit consent provided during registration, NUH may use your contact details to send information about future events, courses, and activities.
- This consent is optional and not a condition of Congress registration.
- You may withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails.
- Code of Conduct
- All participants are expected to behave in a professional, respectful, and inclusive manner.
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
- The organiser reserves the right to remove participants who breach this Code of Conduct, without refund.
- Liability and Insurance
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organiser, including NUH and its staff, shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, or for loss or damage to personal property, arising from participation in the Congress.
- Participants are strongly advised to arrange their own travel, health, and personal insurance. Congress fees do not include insurance coverage.
- Force Majeure
- The organiser shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure arises from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, strikes, or acts of terrorism.
- Governing Law and Severability
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
- If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
