Dr Janice Lam is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Department of Ophthalmology, National University Hospital (NUH) and Alexandra Hospital (AH). She received her formal medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed her Ophthalmology specialist training at the National University Hospital (NUH). Having received the NUHS Learning Development Award, Dr Lam completed a prestigious clinical fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and served as an honorary fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, specialising in paediatric cataract surgery and complex squints in children and adults. During her year in London, she also completed a 6-month fellowship at the Retinoblastoma Unit at Royal London Hospital and is currently part of the Ophthalmic Oncology team at NUH. Her current clinical work also includes the management of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and myopia in children. In addition, Dr Lam practices general ophthalmology and performs cataract surgery at both NUH and AH on a weekly basis. She has an interest in clinical and academic research and has authored several publications. For her research excellence, she was awarded the Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology (ARVO) Travel grant to Seattle, USA in 2013. Aside from clinical work and research, Dr Lam also actively supports the education of medical students, junior doctors and residents. She is the Undergraduate Medical Deputy Education Director of Ophthalmology and a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum committee at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. For her work in undergraduate and post-graduate medical education, Dr Lam has received several awards, including the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award (2018), the NUS Junior Doctor Teaching Award (2017 to 2018) and the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence (2019). She currently also serves as the Co-Lead for Optometry Education at the NUS Centre for Innovation and Precision Eye Health. Dr Lam strongly believes in giving back actively to society. She has participated in pro bono cataract trips to remote areas in need of eye care and surgery in China, Indonesia, Nepal and Cambodia.

Adj A/Prof Ganga obtained his degrees from Madras Medical College, Chennai, India and completed his advanced subspecialty training at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. He specialises in diseases and surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal system, orbit and oculofacial conditions. Committed to clinical and surgical excellence, he is a regional and international expert in disorders such as orbital trauma, ophthalmic oncology including retinoblastoma, vascular malformations, lacrimal system disorders, anophthalmic sockets, thyroid eye disease, facial palsy, etc. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery (such as endoluminal duct recanalisation (ELDR)), complex orbital trauma reconstructions (navigation surgery, bioresorbable implants and customised implants), medical and surgical rehabilitation of thyroid eye disease, and vascular lesions of the orbit. As part of the core faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Adj A/Prof Ganga heads the Orbit & Oculofacial Surgery Service. He was instrumental in starting several multidisciplinary services, including the: • NUH Retinoblastoma Service, working in collaboration with paediatric oncologists, neuro-interventional radiologists and pathologists. • NUH Thyroid Eye Disease Service, working in collaboration with endocrinologists and immunologists. • NUH Lacrimal Service, working in collaboration with rhinologists. He has trained Fellows from numerous countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, India, Thailand, Iran, Syria, the United Kingdom, Nepal, Jordan, Palestine and Nigeria. A former president of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (SSOPRS), he currently serves as the Vice President of the International Society of Dacryology & Dry Eyes (ISD-DE) and as the President of the Asia Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma Society (APOTS). Adj A/Prof Ganga has received numerous awards recognising his clinical, research, education and leadership including the NUHS Master Clinician Award, Global Ophthalmic Trauma Excellence Award (ASOT), American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award, Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Distinguished Service Award for Ophthalmic Oncology and Senior Achievement Award, Ophthalmic Trauma Excellence Award (APOTS), Best Teacher Award as well as several International orations and named lectureships. Adj A/Prof Ganga travels widely as a regional and international faculty at various orbital and craniomaxillofacial conferences, symposia and courses, advancing the level of care of orbital and orbitofacial disorders. He has contributed chapters to several textbooks in his field and serves in various leadership roles in national, regional and international professional societies. In addition to numerous scientific peer-reviewed publications, he has authored a book on 'Orbital Fractures – Principles, Concepts & Management' and co-authored a book on 'Ocular Adnexal Lesions – A Clinical, Pathological and Radiologic Correlation'.

Dr Maryanne Romero is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Alexandra Hospital (AH) and National University Hospital (NUH), where she is also currently undertaking fellowship training in Orbit and Oculofacial Surgery. She graduated from Duke–NUS Medical School and completed her specialist training in Ophthalmology at NUH. Dr Romero's clinical expertise lies in orbital and oculofacial surgery, with particular interests in lacrimal disorders and minimally invasive lacrimal surgery, functional and reconstructive eyelid surgery, thyroid eye disease, and orbital disorders including tumours and trauma. She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care through a multidisciplinary approach. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Romero maintains an active academic portfolio. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and contributed book chapters, and has presented her work at prominent regional and international scientific meetings, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, and the World Ophthalmology Congress. Believing strongly in the importance of nurturing the next generation of clinicians, Dr Romero is passionate about medical education and is actively involved in teaching at the undergraduate, resident, and fellowship levels. She serves as Clinical Faculty at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and teaches in the NUS Graduate Optometry programme. Beyond her clinical and academic roles, Dr Romero is committed to quality improvement and patient safety within NUHS. She has served as a Patient Safety Officer and participated in institutional medical transformation projects. A/Prof Anil Gopinathan is a Senior Consultant Interventional Radiologist and Lead for Neurointerventions at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. He served as the Head of Interventional Radiology from 2018 to 2024 and previously worked at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, UK. As a pioneer in minimally invasive neuro-vascular therapies, he established this service at NUH. He introduced ground-breaking neurointerventional treatments to Singapore, including acute flow diversion for cerebral aneurysms. intra-arterial chemosurgery for retinoblastoma, dural venous sinus stenting, embolisation of CSF venous fistula and middle meningeal artery embolization. A/Prof Anil serves as the President of the Society of Neurovascular Intervention and Surgery - Singapore (SNVIS). An accomplished academic, he has published 200 scientific papers (h-index: 33) and delivered over 100 international lectures. He also served as the Organising Chairperson for the recent 6th World Brain AVM Congress in Mar 2026.

Dr. Anita Chan Sook Yee is a clinician-scientist at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI), with dual subspecialty expertise in ophthalmology and ophthalmic pathology. She leads the Translational Ophthalmic Pathology Platform (TOPP), advancing the interface between diagnostic pathology, ocular oncology, and uveitis. Her translational research spans uveal melanoma tumour microenvironment, vitreoretinal lymphoma diagnostics, and inflammatory eye disease, integrating histopathology with molecular and AI-assisted approaches. She contributes to the International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting (ICCR) dataset for uveal melanoma and the WHO Classification of Tumours (Blue Book) on eye oncology, and is a regular invited speaker at international symposia in ocular oncology, ophthalmic pathology, and uveitis. She is committed to building Singapore’s academic ophthalmic pathology capacity and fostering cross-disciplinary collaborations regionally and internationally.

Ms Chan has consulted for the World Health Organization and spent a decade in Singapore’s public service, holding senior roles in the Ministry of Health, Government Technology Agency, Smart Nation and Digital Government Group, and the Prime Minister’s Office. Her work modernizing healthcare technology at the Ministry of Health supported Singapore’s pandemic response, including the national COVID-19 vaccine rollout of over 15 million doses, mobilization of 22,000 healthcare workers, and coordinated management of test and vaccination records. Regionally, Chi Ling has advised healthcare institutions across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Pacific Islands. Beyond her professional work, Chi Ling is a Senior Fellow of the Equity Initiative (Atlantic Fellowship for Health Equity in Southeast Asia) and serves on the boards of Better.sg and the Digital Committee of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. She was recognized among the 100 Women in Technology by the Singapore Computer Society for her contributions to the public and people sectors.

Dr. Chng is a Senior Consultant in Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital and Visiting Consultant in the Oculoplastic Department at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). She is part of the SNEC multidisciplinary Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) clinic since 2016, now recognised as a EUGOGO site. Her clinical and research work focuses on thyroid disorders, spanning pathophysiology, biomarkers, quality-of-life outcomes, and ultrasound diagnostics. Her recent work centres on AI-driven approaches to thyroid disease and TED assessment. She has received multiple competitive awards and grants, including the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMII Healthcare Innovation and
Transformation Fellowship and Nurturing Clinician Innovator Award. She is actively involved in education and mentorship, and is an invited speaker at many international endocrinology and TED conferences.

Clin. Asst. Prof. Teoh is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre (NUHS). He completed his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) at the National University of Singapore (2020) and obtained specialist accreditation in 2022, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and the Academy of Medicine (Ophthalmology), Singapore.

An award-winning vitreoretinal surgeon, he completed subspecialty training in Advanced Medical & Surgical Retina, Uveitis, and Ocular Oncology at Severance Hospital, South Korea (2025, HMDP awardee). Dr Chris Lim is a consultant ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in cataract, eyelid, laser and refractive surgery, and corneal transplants. Following his comprehensive general ophthalmology training, he completed a two-year clinical fellowship in cornea, external eye disease, and refractive surgery at the National University Health System in Singapore, followed by an additional fellowship in cornea and oculoplastics at the Royal Perth Hospital. His clinical practice encompasses complex and premium cataract surgery, advanced vision correction, corneal transplantation, and complex anterior segment reconstruction. Known for his meticulous approach, Dr Lim is dedicated to highly personalised care. Beyond the clinic, Dr Lim is an internationally recognised researcher and a sought-after educator on the global speaking circuit. Driven by a commitment to advancing patient care, he completed a PhD at the University of New South Wales. For more than a decade, Danial builds patient-centred vision rehabilitation based on vision science blended with assistive technologies to restore functioning after visual loss and ophthalmic trauma. He serves as Senior Optometrist at the Low Vision and Vision Rehabilitation Service at the National University Hospital. He is also Adjunct Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Adviser to the World Health Organization Low Vision Working Group. He co-developed the first inter-disciplinary low vision programme in a tertiary hospital in Singapore, and his research interests include medical, psychosocial and rehabilitative approaches to visual impairment, low vision service and policy and health equity. He has taught on vision rehabilitation extensively and is the author of Low Vision Care and Practice: A Guide for Clinicians. A graduate of Anglia Ruskin University, Danial was conferred the Singapore National Day Efficiency Medal in 2021.

Dr. Daniel is a tenure track Assistant Professor at the Departments of Ophthalmology & Anatomy at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering at the College of Design & Engineering. He is also a Principal Investigator at the Neurobiology Translational Research Program. His lab focuses on investigating the effects of of light on tissue and cell. In his lab, they utilize optogenetics and photodynamic modulation of cellular and physiological function, while also extending to light delivery technologies for brain and eye applications. He has published extensively in high impact journals including Adv. Materials, Nature Comms, ACS Nano, Science, Nature and others. He has been awarded with NMRC-OF-IRG, NMRC-OF-YIRG and also the International Photodynamic Association's Early Investigator Award for 2025.

Daniella Mahfoud is a senior PhD candidate in Visual and Cognitive Neurosciences at the Eye N' Brain Research Group, Department of Ophthalmology, National University of Singapore, working under the supervision of Dr Raymond P. Najjar. Her work explores the eye as a gateway to brain health, advancing understanding of how retinal light signaling shapes sleep, mood, alertness, and cognition. Her research spans both the lab and the field: from controlled pupillometry and eye-tracking experiments probing the eye's non-visual pathways, to real-world studies using wearable light sensors and behavioral interventions that capture how everyday visual and light environments influence physiology and performance. Positioned at the intersection of ophthalmology, neuroscience, and digital health, her work aims to translate light-based interventions into accessible, scalable strategies for improving health and performance across healthy and clinical populations.

Dr Derrick Lian is a Senior Consultant Pathologist in the National University Health System, Singapore. He has an interest in eye and paediatric pathology. He is also active in the field of medical education, especially in the undergraduate domain.

Dr Thomas is an Ophthalmologist who specializes in Ocular Oncology, Vitreoretinal Diseases and complicated cataract surgery at the National University Hospital, Singapore.

 Dr Hon Shing Ong is a Senior Consultant in the Corneal and Refractive Surgery Department at the Singapore National Eye Centre, Deputy Clinical Director of the Singapore Eye Bank, and Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. He holds a PhD in ocular surface inflammation and scarring from UCL, with clinical and research expertise spanning corneal and ocular surface diseases, corneal transplantation, and refractive surgery. His work on the immunopathological diagnostic challenges in cicatrizing conjunctivitis has directly informed a paradigm shift in the field, challenging previously accepted international diagnostic criteria for ocular mucous membrane pemphigoid and contributing to the establishment of new, internationally accepted diagnostic criteria. He has received prestigious awards from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, ARVO, APACRS, and APAO, and has secured over S$3.5 million in competitive research funding as Principal Investigator, with ocular surface research spanning disease mechanisms, cell-based therapies, and clinical translation.

Adjunct Associate Professor Chin Hui-Lin is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Genetics and Metabolism within the Department of Paediatrics at the National University Hospital, Singapore. She holds a concurrent academic appointment at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). After earning her medical degree from NUS, Dr. Chin pursued specialized training and completed a clinical genetics fellowship at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. Her extensive clinical practice centers on diagnosing rare paediatric disorders, adult genetic conditions, and complex prenatal genetic counselling. As a passionate educator, she frequently trains medical students and residents, earning several teaching awards for her dedication. Her research interests focus on leveraging advanced genomic analysis to solve complex medical cases. Furthermore, she actively collaborates on national initiatives to strengthen Singapore's clinical genomics infrastructure, ultimately advancing personalized patient care across the country.

Dr Jeremy Hu is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI), Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He holds the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Hu specialises in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and takes an interest in Paediatric Anterior Segment Disorders. He is actively involved in clinical research and translational innovation, with interests spanning artificial intelligence, vision screening technologies, and ophthalmic outcomes research. Adj Asst Prof Chen Jianping, a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency training in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. During his residency, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Chief Registrar. He was conferred the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2017. In 2019, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK), and joined the Fellows of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in the same year. He practises general ophthalmology with a special interest in retinal diseases. Aside from advanced cataract surgeries, he sub-specialises in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina. He has keen interests in both medical education and international ophthalmic humanitarian work. He is an executive committee member of The Vision Mission, a non-profit organisation that focuses on setting up sustainable eye care programmes in developing countries.

Jin Ying is an Industrial and Experience Designer at Trigger Design Studio, a Singapore-based consultancy focused on research-driven innovation. Her work centres on inclusive design and experience strategy, with a particular focus on accessibility for persons with visual impairments. She has led projects spanning inclusive wayfinding systems, multi-sensory experiences, and accessible digital and physical touchpoints across public and healthcare environments, including collaborations with organisations such as Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Art Museum and SG Enable. Grounded in user research, she is dedicated to creating design that empowers independence, dignity, and inclusion.

Dr Julian Lim is a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. He graduated from University College London Medical School in 2017 with distinctions in medical science, clinical science and clinical practice, and completed rheumatology specialist training within the National University Health System (NUHS) in 2024. His clinical interests include interdisciplinary collaboration in the care of patients with systemic autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. He runs a combined rheumatology–ophthalmology clinic with the NUH Uveitis Service for patients with immune-mediated ocular inflammatory diseases.

Dr Lim is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He has received several teaching awards, including the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award (2024), the NUHS Teaching Excellence Award (2025), and the NUH Department of Medicine Chan Heng Leong Best Teacher Award (2024–2025).

Dr Katherine Lun is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at the National University Hospital, Singapore. She completed her ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship training at the National University Hospital, followed by further subspecialty training in Sydney, Australia. Her practice focuses on glaucoma and cataract surgery, with particular interests in glaucoma drainage devices and complex glaucoma management. She is involved in clinical research evaluating surgical outcomes and new approaches to glaucoma care. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Lun serves as Programme Director of the NUHS Ophthalmology Residency Programme, overseeing residency training and assessment.

Ms. Khadijah is a dedicated Registered Nurse based in Singapore with over a decade of experience at the National University Hospital (NUH). Over the course of her career, she transitioned from inpatient nursing to ophthalmology, where she has contributed significantly to advancing patient-centred care. She played a key role in establishing the nurse-led intravitreal injection service at the NUH Eye Surgery Centre and collaborated with her team to streamline workflows within the newly established Retina Centre, supporting efficient and high-quality care delivery. Under the mentorship of experienced ophthalmologists, Ms. Khadijah underwent rigorous training to develop expertise in administering intravitreal injections. As one of the pioneering nurses credentialed to provide this specialized service, she is committed to enhancing patient experience, improving access to care, and optimizing service efficiency. Her dedication to innovation and excellence continues to support the advancement of ophthalmic nursing practice.

Professor Schmetterer is head of Ocular Imaging and Senior Scientific Director at SERI. He is an international expert in the areas of ocular and functional imaging with excellent sub-expertise in optical coherence tomography (OCT). His research interests encompass a broad range of ophthalmic imaging studies, including glaucoma, medical retina, and dry eye syndrome, as well as ocular pharmacology and clinical trials. He has published more than 450 publications in international peer reviewed journals and his H-index on Google Scholar (as at Jun 4th, 2026) is 96. He was invited for more than 200 lectures, including more than 20 keynote lectures; he has obtained more than 25 million SGD grant funding since he joined SERI in 2016. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Progress in Retinal and Eye Research, the Acta Ophthalmologica, the Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Ophthalmic Research and five other journals, as well as ad-hoc reviewers for more than 40 journals.

A/Prof Ray Manotosh is a Senior Consultant and Deputy Head in the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital (NUH). He specialises in cornea, external eye diseases, cataract, contact lens and refractive surgery, and heads the Cornea & Refractive Surgery division in the Department. Concurrently, he is Associate Professor and Director of Education at the Department of Ophthalmology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He plays several key roles in postgraduate medical education, including Chief Examiner for the National Exit Examination (Ophthalmology), Member of the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) for Ophthalmology, and Member of the MMed (Ophthalmology) Examination Committee. In addition, he serves as Treasurer of the Asia Pacific Trauma Society. A/Prof Ray completed his basic surgical training (MD) at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India, in 1997. He subsequently underwent advanced surgical training in Cornea and External Eye Diseases at AIIMS and later obtained his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK). He has co-authored three ophthalmology textbooks. One of them, "Essentials of Ophthalmology: For Medical School and Beyond," was nominated amongst the best ophthalmology textbooks in the field. In addition, he has contributed more than 25 chapters to ophthalmology textbooks and authored over 40 research papers in peer-reviewed journals. In recognition of his contributions to medical education, A/Prof Ray has received several teaching awards, including the National Healthcare Group Teaching Excellence Award (2006), the NUHS Teaching Excellence Award (2024), and the Eye & Vision Health Award for Distinguished Service (2025).

A/Prof Lahiri is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. She graduated with distinction from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and then trained in Singapore and the UK. A/Prof Lahiri is the immediate past Chair of the Chapter of Rheumatologists, College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. During her tenure, she led initiatives for the formulation of several published national recommendations and oversaw the establishment of an 8-hospital patient registry. Her clinical and research interests are in inflammatory arthritis, immune-related toxicity from cancer immunotherapy, vaccination in rheumatic disease, and health care quality and services research. A/Prof Lahiri is actively involved in education and is the recipient of several awards, most recently the NUHS excellence award, the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award, and the NUSMed Faculty Teaching Excellence Award.

Dr Marcus Tan Chun Jin is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and subspecialises in Glaucoma at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. He serves as Assistant Group Chief Technology Officer at NUHS, Secretary of the Glaucoma Association of Singapore, and Patient Safety Officer for NUH Ophthalmology. He is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and leads Pillar 1 of the NUS Centre for Innovation and Precision Eye Health (INVISION). His clinical and research interests center on novel glaucoma surgical implants and immersive clinical intelligence in Ophthalmology. 

DR. MARIA CECILIA D. AQUINO, M.D., MMED (Ophthalmology) is a Principal Resident Physician with the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore. She graduated from and completed her Ophthalmology residency training at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila, Philippines. She was subsequently conferred Diplomate in Ophthalmology by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and later obtained her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She pursued subspecialty training in Glaucoma at National University Hospital, National University Health System, Singapore and is currently a member of the Glaucoma Unit. She is actively involved in clinical and research development on lasers and glaucoma device (Paul Glaiucoma Implant).

A/Prof Thong is currently the Head of Division of Otolaryngology, Alexandra Hospital. He is an Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He completed his Otolaryngology residency in Singapore, followed by subspecialty training in Rhinology and Sinus Surgery as a clinical fellow at the Lahey Clinic, Massachusetts, USA.

Dr Kimpo is a paediatric hematologist and oncologist in the Department of Paediatrics at NUH. She is also an assistant professor at the National University of Singapore . Her main areas of interest include the clinical care of children with brain tumors and retinoblastoma.

Dr Chan completed her Ophthalmology residency training in 2024, and is a Consultant at the National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Singapore. She is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Ophthalmology) and of the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, and is undergoing her Glaucoma fellowship training in the National University Hospital. She has authored more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 5 book chapters. A passionate teacher who believes in nurturing her colleagues, medical students and allied health, she has been awarded several teaching awards by the National University Hospital (Good Teacher Award) and the National University of Singapore (Young Teacher Award, Junior Doctor Teaching Award). Dr Chan is also a trainer involved in the Division of Graduate Medical Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine for the Graduate Certificate Programme for eye diseases.

Dr Raymond P. Najjar is Assistant Professor and Research Director in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), with joint appointments in Biomedical Engineering, Duke-NUS Medical School, and the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI). He leads the Eye N' Brain Research Group, which investigates how light influences eye and brain health across the lifespan. His research integrates ophthalmology, neuroscience, engineering, wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital health to develop innovative approaches for preventing myopia, understanding non-visual responses to light, and creating objective biomarkers of ocular and neurological disease. Dr Najjar has secured over S$13 million in competitive research funding and leads several multidisciplinary international collaborations, including the NRF-funded LightSPAN programme. His work has informed international standards and clinical practice, with the overarching goal of translating fundamental discoveries into scalable, real-world solutions that improve vision, cognition, and overall health.

Dr Samantha Yang is a consultant endocrinologist and clinician-scientist at the National University Hospital, She obtained her MBBS and Master of Medicine from the National University of Singapore (NUS), is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), and completed her PhD at NUS, focusing on re-differentiation therapy in radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer. Her research interests encompass thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer. She has published work on Graves' disease and thyroid eye disease, including systematic reviews on the prevalence and risk factors of thyroid eye disease, and has contributed to international collaborative efforts evaluating contemporary management practices in Graves' disease. In addition to her work in benign thyroid disease, she leads translational research in thyroid cancer therapeutics and molecular diagnostics, with a focus on precision medicine approaches for patients with advanced thyroid cancer.

Dr. Sathiya Prakash Sooryanarayana is a Clinical Optometrist and a Researcher with a PhD in Optometry from The National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is currently a Postdoctoral Clinical Research Fellow at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). He works within the Ocular Surface research team, focusing on various clinical research projects involving dry eye and other ocular surface diseases. 

Prior to this, he lectured in Optometry schools and practiced as a Clinical Optometrist at leading Malaysian eyecare and higher education institutions. His research has been published in local and international journals. 

"Adjunct A/Prof Loon is the Head of Ophthalmology at Alexandra Hospital and a Senior Consultant in National University Hospital. He is also the cluster glaucoma subspecialty head. He specialises in performing laser and surgery for glaucoma, as well as complex cataract surgery. He also specialises in the epidemiology of eye diseases, using the research of eye disease in applying the latest technologies whilst ensuring safety and efficacy in treatment. He received his basic training in Singapore, with specialist degrees conferred from the National University of Singapore and Edinburgh. He underwent further fellowship and training in Sydney University, where he obtained a second Masters of Medicine (Merit) in Clinical Epidemiology. He is also keen in medical outreach, and has done medical mission work in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia and Nepal with like-minded friends and colleagues. In 2011, he was conferred the Humanity Award by President Nathan for his work in medical mission work, which he has been doing for more than 18 years. He was conferred the inaugeral Master Clinician Award in 2023."

Dr Leo Seo Wei is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Dr Leo Adult & Paediatric Eye Specialist in Singapore with an international reputation for her work in paediatric ophthalmology, cataract and myopia control. She currently serves on the Executive Bureau of the World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (WSPOS), where she is best known as the lead author of the WSPOS Myopia Consensus Statements in 2016, 2023, 2025. After residency in Singapore, Dr Leo trained under Prof Monte Del Monte at the University of Michigan and Prof Ken Wright in Los Angeles. Before private practice, she held senior appointments at major hospitals in Singapore. She remains actively involved in clinical governance through the Ministry of Health and institutional review boards in Singapore. She combines over 25 years of clinical work with global academic contributions through publications and presentations, establishing her as a leading authority in evidence-based paediatric eye care.

Dr Stephanie Young is Director of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon at Eagle Eye Centre, and Medical Director of Eagle Aesthetics & Surgery. She serves as Visiting Consultant at NUH’s Ophthalmology Department and Honorary Assistant Professor at NUS, and is First Vice President of APSOPRS. Her clinical focus spans eyelids, lacrimal system, and orbit, with particular expertise in surgical and non-surgical periocular and facial rejuvenation. She performs functional and cosmetic eyelid procedures, including ptosis repair, correction of malpositions, double eyelid creation, and lower blepharoplasty. An active educator and speaker at local and international meetings, she advances Oculoplastics and Oculofacial Aesthetics globally. Dr Young has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, earning awards from APAO and AAO, among others. She holds Fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) and Academy of Medicine (Singapore), won the NUS Gold Medal, and completed oculoplastic fellowships at NUH Singapore and Samsung Medical Center, Seoul.

Suk Tan is a Senior Optometrist at National University Hospital with over 7 years of experience in delivering comprehensive eye care to patients ranging from infants to the elderly. Her expertise includes performing diagnostic tests such as refraction and retinoscopy to support accurate clinical decisions. She has completed the Singapore National Primary EyeCare Clinical Programme, which emphasizes mentorship with Ophthalmologists, diagnostic skill development, and patient engagement, enabling her to independently manage patients in community eye clinics. Recently, she and her team authored, presented an abstract at AMEE Barcelona, the world’s largest interprofessional health education conference, showcasing their commitment to advancing health education.

Associate Professor Victor Koh is the Pro-Tem CEO and Chairman of the Hospital Planning Committee for Tengah General and Community Hospital, the newest member of the National University Health System (NUHS). In this role, he is building not just a new, dynamic healthcare team but also designing a future-ready institution around the needs of the Western community. A/Prof Koh concurrently heads the Department of Ophthalmology at the National University Hospital, and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. A strong advocate for advancing medical innovation, he leads SPIN (Ophthalmology), NUHS’ flagship programme for translational innovation, driving breakthroughs that bring research from bench to bedside. A/Prof Koh is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. His dedication to education has earned him multiple Young Educator and Clinician Mentor Awards. He is also a recipient of the Public Administration Medal (Bronze), at the National Day Awards 2025.

Xuanyu is an Occupational Therapist and ACVREP-certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist with extensive experience in low vision rehabilitation. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Vision Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Science in Orientation and Mobility from Salus University. 

Xuanyu played a key role in developing and implementing the Senior EyE Rehabilitation (SEER) programme at NUH, supporting individuals with visual impairments to achieve greater independence in daily living and community participation. Passionate about education and advocacy, she continues to practice, teach, and speak on visual impairment, with a focus on empowering individuals to live confidently and independently.

Dr. Yan Liu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. His research focuses on developing high-resolution optical imaging systems for studying the eye in vivo at the cellular level. Prior to joining NUS, he was a research associate at the Indiana University School of Optometry. He completed his postdoctoral training in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Dr. Liu obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University under the mentorship of Prof. Lihong V. Wang, now Professor of Medical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Caltech. Before that, he obtained his Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University, where he studied Physics and Optical Engineering. To date, Dr. Liu has authored 42 peer-reviewed journal articles, including 16 first-author or corresponding-author publications in leading journals such as Nature Photonics, Nature Communications (×2), and Optica (×3). Ms Yong is a Registered Nurse which practice in Singapore over a decade at the National University Hospital (NUH). Throughout her nursing career, she has transitioned from Emergency Nursing to Ophthalmology, demonstrating adaptability and a strong commitment to delivering patient-centred care. Her experience in the fast-paced emergency setting has equipped her with excellent clinical judgement, critical thinking, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. In ophthalmology, she has continued to expand her expertise by providing specialized care while supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes. Passionate about continuous learning and professional development, Yong Chin Hui strives to enhance patient experiences through compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and service excellence. Her dedication, professionalism, and collaborative approach have enabled her to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of ophthalmic nursing, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and patient safety.

Dr Yvonne CHUNG underwent Oculoplastics HMDP fellowship training in Canada under Prof Peter Dolman and at the Singapore National Eye Centre. She is currently a senior Oculoplastic Surgeon at the Singapore National Eye Centre and Clinical Assist Professor at the Duke NUS Medical School in Singapore. She heads the Department of Oculoplastics and works in multidisciplinary teams across 4 hospitals within the Singapore Health Services framework. Her oculoplastic subspecialty interests lie in Thyroid Orbitopathy, Dacryology and Oculofacial reconstruction.
